L.A. on backburner; Benson would take $1.2B for Saints
It's been a while since I've updated this page, and if anyone is still reading, I was very encouraged to read that the NFL owners have decided that the L.A. thing is now on the backburner.
This column by Foxsports.com's Czar (John Czarnecki) says as much, and also notes that Tommy Boy has upped his asking price for the Saints from $1 billion to $1.2 billion.
In other words, the Saints aren't going anywhere anytime soon. So, as things stand now, Saints fans can hope for two things:
(1) a Super Bowl, and
(2) a great negotiation between Benson and Gov. Kathleen Blanco after this season.
Good times!
