Benson's acts harming N.O. in more ways than one?
Today's Houma Courier features an insightful opinion piece by Ryan Chatelain entitled "Team's lies could hurt N.O.'s efforts."
The article states that Tom Benson's assertions that New Orleans lacks health care and schools to support his team's employees are "bold-faced lies" that may be hampering other former residents from returning home.
It also notes that there are traffic jams in Kenner (a suburb of New Orleans) during rush hour, indicative of a return to some sense of normalcy.
And, Chatelain points out that Saints coaches' and players' homes were largely unaffected by Katrina, and that instead of being able to sleep in their own beds and practice in a first-class training facility, they are being used as "pawns in Benson's game" to try and move the team to San Antonio.
It makes for a good read (even with the annoying required registration).
