Big shocker: Saints last in ESPN fan satisfaction survey

In what should come as no surprise, the New Orleans Saints have ranked dead last out of 91 franchises for ESPN.com's fan satisfaction survey.

This, friends, isn't because the Saints are hated in Louisiana. Quite the contrary.

No, it's because of Tom Benson, plain and simple.

The kicker of this small article is a quote from Saints spokesman Greg Bensel:
"Eighty percent of companies in New Orleans haven't been able to reopen yet, but we are keeping this company in business. We relocated to San Antonio so we can stay afloat. We remain a Louisiana corporation, and we're paying $25 million into the state income tax fund this year. All anybody wants to do is criticize Mr. [Tom] Benson, but they're barking up the wrong tree."
Really, Greg? How about Benson's jab at a television camera, or his email wrongfully blasting Baton Rouge? How about his being in bed with San Antonio instead of exercising some FAITH in New Orleans?

How about his derogatory comments about Saints support before Katrina hit? How about his negotiation stances with Louisiana?

It's pretty damn clear that ole Tommy Boy is responsible for such a bad perception that his team ranks dead last in fan satisfaction.

Imagine that. And the fans are the ones barking up the wrong tree.

After all Saints fans have had to put up with over the last several years, especially in 2005 both before and after Katrina, this comes as zero surprise.

And, for that matter, neither does some Saints spokesman attempting to sway the blame from Benson, all while posturing for a move to San Antonio.
